FAQ
Is this the same as FeeLab?
FeeLab models payment fee stacks on a known charge. NetLab answers “what do I need to bill / receive so I keep X?” and compares two stacks side by side.
What if fee % is 100 or more?
There is no finite gross that yields a positive net. Lower the percent or fixed fee.
Does currency convert live FX?
No. Currency only relabels amounts for readability. No live rates.
When should I reverse a fee instead of calculating forward?
When you care about take-home first — e.g. I need 2000 net. Reverse math solves the gross or invoice to aim for.
Can I compare two processors on the same payout?
Yes. Fee compare runs stack A and stack B on one gross and shows which leaves more net and by how much.
Why does a small fixed fee hurt low-ticket sales?
A $0.30 fee is tiny on $100 but huge on $3. Effective rate spikes on micro-payments — compare stacks on your real average ticket.
Should I pass processing fees to clients?
Some businesses surcharge or raise prices instead. Check card-network and local rules first; the calculator only does the math, not compliance.
When is a higher percent fee still better?
If the alternative has a large fixed fee and your tickets are small, a slightly higher percent can win. Compare on your real average payout size.
Can marketplaces and processors both take fees?
Yes. Model marketplace commission and payment processing as separate stacks or combine percents so you do not double-count or miss one.
